Anahita Sanjana

… is a disciple of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. She teaches Hatha Yoga in schools in Mumbai in the light of their teachings. She also holds classes for adults.

 

 

Te Ana Vava (Medhananda)

Medhananda was born in Germany and became a judge of the High Court at Frankfurt.  He then lived in Tahiti for several years. In 1949 he wrote to Sri Aurobindo and joined the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in 1952.  He was given the work of Librarian of Sri Aurobindo Library by the Mother.

 

Sachidananda Mohanty

… is a Fulbright Scholar at Texas and Yale (1990-81), and currently a Professor of English Literature at the University of Hyderabad. He is a former Senior Academic Fellow at the American Studies Research Center, Hyderabad and former Vice President, South India American Studies Network (SIASN). He has a number of books to his credit including two edited volumes on Sri Aurobindo.

 

Georg Stollenwerk

… is from Germany. His work has taken him to all parts of Germany and to many countries outside and also given him the opportunity to watch at close quarters the evolving political, economic and social situation. Being a spiritual seeker he attempts here to look at changes in the world from a deeper insight.

 

Harvinder Kaur

Harvinder Kaur began her journey in education because it made her heart dance! After a regular job for some years, she worked as a volunteer in non-formal education based on Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy which was for her a turning point. She writes poetry, articles and stories on education and spirituality.

M.P.Pandit

M.P. Pandit came to the Ashram at a very young age. He is the author of a large number of books and articles on Integral Yoga and the Indian spiritual tradition. He was the Chairman of World Union International.

Monika Halan

Based in New Delhi, Monika is a personal finance resource person. She is attempting to integrate The Mother’s ideas on bringing up children to bring up her daughter Meera.

Aidan Rankin

.. is a Research and Publications Officer for the Economic Research Council in London. Aidan did his PhD in Political Science from the London School of Economics.

 

Mangesh Nadkarni

… was a Professor of Linguistics and a disciple of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. He enjoyed sharing what he received from his study of their Works and Vision.

 

Norman C. Dowsett

A prolific writer and poet, Norman C.Dowsett was born on 9th Oct, 1908 in England. In 1942 He met Sri Aurobindo in Pondicherry and three years later became a permanent member of the Ashram. He participated in the experiment of the Free Progress Education carried on in the Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education where he taught for 25 years.

 

Ram Sehgal

… is one of the icons of the communication field in India, having been conferred the A & M Advertising Man of the Year (1994). Between 1997-98, he presided over the Advertising Agencies Association of India. He studied and grew up at Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry.

 

 

Pavitra

P.B. Saint Hilaire studied at the ‘Ecole polytechnique’ in France. His spiritual search took him to Japan, Mongolia and finally to the Ashram at Pondicherry where he was given the name ‘Pavitra’. He was the Director of the Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education.

 

Dr. Sampadananda Mishra

.. is a lover of Sanskrit and the Scriptures. He has authored a number of books and multimedia projects on Sanskrit, and conducts immersion workshops for those inspired by this Divine language. He is presently a Director of the Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Indian Culture (SAFIC) at Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry.

Dr. Soumitra Basu

… is a psychiatrist and a research scholar. He was project director of a drug detoxification and counselling centre. He is an editor of Namah and the author of the book on Integral Health.

 

Dr. A.S. Dalal

… was earlier the Director of Klamath Mental Health Centre at Oregon, USA, and the Co-director of the Institute of Integral Psychology, Ojai, California. He has been the compiler of many books on mental health, psychology and yoga.

 

K.D.Sethna (Amal Kiran)

K.D. Sethna was a well-known poet and was the editor of Mother India. He has written a large number of books and articles on a wide range of topics.

 

 

Nolini Kanta Gupta

Nolini Kanta Gupta was a revolutionary, linguist, scholar, critic, poet, philosopher and a man of deep spiritual realisation. He authored nearly 60 books in both English and Bengali.

 

Kittu Reddy

Kittu Reddy has been a teacher at the SAICE since 1958. His principal subjects are Indian Culture, Polity and History in the light of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. He has written three books and works closely with the Indian Army. Read more..
