Oh, how I loved this talk by Ernesto Sirolli!
Funny, insightful, no mincing of words – “The first principal of Aid is Respect!”
How little that aspect is acknowledged world-over. How much of our arrogance and ego we throw into any venture we undertake when “helping others”. But as he says, if only we were to first listen and truly understand what the requirement is keeping the cultural, sociological, political, geographical and might I add, spiritual, context in mind, would we be able to help.
